End-of-year summary and rankings for 2024
It's the last day of 2024 and it's time to wrap up the year! 🎁
But first a reminder that the next Fantasy Snooker event is the Masters (A-tier) starting in less than 2 weeks on the 12th of January 2025. Don't forget to assemble your dream team before this triple crown event as it can be a lucrative event point-wise! 🌟
2024 Summary
We've seen 71 scoring teams so far this season. That's up from 45 at the end of year summary from last year! It's awesome and motivating to see more people show interest and play our game. ❤️
2024 has so far featured 12 out of 20 tournaments in the 2024/2025 season, including triple crown event UK Championship (A-tier) and the inaugural edition of the Saudi Arabia Masters (B-tier). However fear not if you are currently low in the rankings, massive tournaments are still to be played (including two remaining triple crown events): the Masters (A-tier) and the World Championship (S-tier). Make sure to build your team with care, and with a tad of luck, the tables can turn very quickly indeed!
The snooker player of the season so far must be "The Ace in the Pack" Judd Trump consistently making deep runs and picking up prestigious trophies like the Shanghai Masters, Saudi Arabi Masters and the UK Championship. He has been stopped on the finish line a couple of times by "The Warrior" Kyren Wilson though, slightly blemishing his excellent season.
The last tournament of the year (eligible for Fantasy Snooker) was the Scottish Open (9-15 Dec) where Lei Peifan won his first ranking title beating his compatriot Wu Yize in the final.
End-of-year rankings
The Fantasy Snooker 2024/2025 season saw some changes at the top at the start with household names like Snooker 365 (Glen Mathews) and Promising Team (Faith Olcay) changing hands of the top spot. However, there's been one outstanding player who has dominated the rankings since the British Open in late September. It's none other than the winner of the previous season, Up The Ives (Mitch). 👏
The season is only just half-way done though with many big tournamnents to go, so everything can still happen! Will Mitch hold on to his lead or will a contender rise up to the challenge? Glen's Snooker 365 is within striking distance in 2nd place after a strong Scottish Open. Rekola (Timant), Promising Team (Fatih Olcay) and realandrea (realandrea) are also not far behind and can make up ground at the Masters.
