Welcome to the 2024/2025 season

2 months agoKjetil Hårtveit - Founder

We at the Fantasy Snooker team welcome you to the 2024/2025 season (a bit late)! Technically the season has already started, and we've already seen the first ranking movements after the Shanghai Masters. Last season's runner-up Glen Mathews and his team Snooker 365 has taken an early lead with 571 points.

It's not too late to join the fun though! We hope to see your team ⭐ in time for the Xi'an Grand Prix starting in roughly 3 weeks on August the 19th. Note that the tier of the Grand Prix might increase to a B-tier before it starts.

Latest developments

Although we have enjoyed a lazy summer, we have have also worked on further improvements in the game. Most visibly perhaps is the new documentation/rules page. More changes are listed below:

  • team: value difference calculation was slightly off, it's now fixed to be consistent across the team and player values feature
  • player values feature: removed "previous tournament" column and the "View" filter to simplify UI
  • player values feature: only show main tour players per season
  • finally fixed so that all (and only) main tour players for the current/upcoming season can be puchased
  • player picker: prevent text input from clearing on blur
  • fixed misformatted tooltips
  • fixed end-to-end tests in CI
  • fixed sync to email service

Look ahead

We expect August to be a busy month with normal life resuming, but we hope to be able to churn out some new features within a reasonable timeframe.

Our very short shortlist looks like this at the moment:

  • feedback form
  • public and private leagues

As always we have grand ideas, but perhaps over time we've learned to be a bit more realistic..
